i've created my own team w/ the advanced editor and started playing as a continental team, and i was baffled by the season goals, i was expected to win the paris nice and two classics in my first season while i only had cancellara as a big name rider, the rest of the squad was around 68-72, plus a few weak youngsters, my budget was 220k, but i thought it might be bc pcm calculated that my team is too good for the CT or whatever.
the next season however it's even worse, i've got promoted to the pro tour, the sponsor only pays 250k, yet my goals are to win the giro, the tour of romandie and a classic (maybe the amstel gold iirc), which is more than unrealistic.
both finances and race difficulty are set to hard but i thought difficulty settings doesn't change the season goals, am i wrong?
anyways, my question is how can i edit the season goals in the editor to lower my goals?
also, how does the game calculates these goals? how should i edit my team to get more down to earth goals?
In DYN_secondary_sponsors u can change the races you want to win, also your budget the sponsor gives you. In DYN_objective you can edit all your objectives + what kind of result you have to get there. In STA_objective_type you will find the numbers for each type.
In my custom team in the first year i had Bradley Wiggins, Yaroslav Popovych and Dave Zabriskie as leaders, seeing i am an American team i had to win the Tour of Missourri and the Tour of California, np, easily achieved, i also had to get a top 10 spot in the cyclist de Marseillse, also np, but then i had to when the Giro d'Italia and the Amstel Gold Race, all in my first season, won the Giro with Wiggins, but failed to win Amstel Gold Race, only 3th with Popo.
So my guess the goals that the computer gives you, not the secondary sponsor goals, are based on some riders in your team, i think on your 3 Absolute Leaders. Wiggins for the Giro, Popo for the Tour of California and Zabriskie for Grand Prix de cycliste Marseillse.
Also got a question myself, is the sponsor satisfaction different on a higher lvl or are they the same. For example, winning the Tour on normal or on hard. Does it give the same sponsor satisfaction?
Of course it could be. But what would be the reason for it? If you select Hard, the game is harder when you play the stages, should it be easier in regard of achieved points? Or more hard also in regard of the points? Makes no sense to me.
