Hi,
after the post of "how to win a sprint"
Maybe theres one out there who can explain, whats the clue in the Team
Time Trial.
For me it seems very difficult, and its the last thing that i need to learn in this game.
THANKS ! |

only let those who really know how TT relay.
let the rest hang in the back
prevent hangovers --> stay drunk
pozzato, basically the most stupid cyclist around

I've tried this and the "99%" theory for TTTs and still just can't get anywhere with this.
1st stage of the Giro is next and 41" is the best I can do despite being listed as "outsiders" (this is from trying it as a single stage).
any ideas people? |

Put everyone at 99 thenpick your middle TTist and put them at 8 sec and add or subtract one for each TT stat more than that.

Basically, a TTT is about common sense. You don't want riders, who can't time trial, to take long relays, because that'll slow down the entire team. So, the bad TT'ers shouldn't relay at all - or only relay in very short time - while the good ones should relay for much longer at a higher intensity.
Watch out, though. As in a normal TT, you don't want them to tire too fast. |

Actually I find that it doesn't make any diffenerence at all whether they are dead or not. Try an 80 k TTT put everyone on 99 and as long as you have at least one guy with 78+TT you will win by 5 min.

puting everyone at 99% only lasts a while until the non-relayers drop off. i ended up with 4 up front relaying and then a second group of 'dead' non-relayers who couldn't keep up...
but here's the most ridiculous part - for the giro stage in question the best i did manually using various methods of times and efforts and riders was 39seconds down. This has my team in pieces and i noticed that other teams were the same - everyone is scattered.
i simulate the stage and finish only 16 seconds off with all teams completely intact!! Not only that but the overall win time is 10seconds quicker than the best team when I try it manually! |

They drop off and then slowly work their way back up untill they are all pretty much together again, don't know why but it seems to work
