Sooo one of my season goals was to win the Green Jersey from the Tour and my season hadn't been going great so i really needed this, after staying up all night i managed to secure the green with Cavendish on the second to last day... Then he crashed on the Ventoux stage and broke his hand and has to take a few days off now....
Normally I'm all for letting things fall as they may but i am liking this career and got some solid signs for next year and wanna just reverse some bad luck.
If anyone could describe to me how to do this if it's possible or if they'd rather just do it instead of taking the time i'll upload the game.
Thanks
Shifty

Unfortunately it isn't possible to go back a day, unless you've got a backup. Sorry to say that.

In your folder with savegames there is a file with ".cdb~" at the end. This is your backup savegame. Rename it, delete the "`" end you should be able to go back. |

It is possible to go back, but the backup only works, if he never started the game after he raced the stage (at least that is my experience).
To go back, you can edit the day using the same technique as for skipping one day. Also you have to delete the results of all stages, which will be re-raced (no matter if you are participating in). Also you would need to fix the overall standings, because that might be the reason why you want to try again.
The results are in DYN_classification_stage and DYN_classification_race. How to edit the date can be found in this forum, you might want to search for GAM_config. It is lots of work and I advice you to NOT overwrite your save as you might seriously mess it up while doing it. |

Hm, no such luck with a backup. My main concern is the sponsor confidence, is there anyway i can just edit that instead?

What do you need? At which day are you?
Try to raise the superprestige points in DYN_team with Hannes Converter or Full Editor (also called Advanced Editor in this forum). |

my sponsors were surprisingly not that upset that i only accomplished 2/6 goals for the year and i still had the cash to keep most of the people i wanted and sign the likes of Dekker (thinking about taking him outta the DB since he loves him some EPO before a race) Contador, Gerdemann, McEwen (cheap and needed a lead out man since Eisel and Renshaw left) and a few others i'm forgetting, oh yeah Alexandre Puchsijinsecushdnesienaskdfwain or however you spell his last name, the guy that got insanely good in 08, signed him and he doesn't have much potential =[ forogt it was a different DB when i initially tried to sign him.
at any rate, things look good for next season anyway, but thank you guys for your help, i'll look into the Superprestige points if i need assistance with sponsor happiness again.
Thanks
Shifty

You have a way to get a weekly save of your career.
Using a shortcut, just add parameter -weeklysave to the target link.
More information here : https://www.cyanid...&t=771
Have fun |

If course it does, I had 100 of weekly saves in that folder (until I deleted them) |

It does, I wouldn't tell it either
However, you need special writing rights on vista, maybe thats because it doesn't work for you |

I have Win XP, put in the -weeklysave in the parameter and no matter how I try, I don't see any "Weeklysave" folder in both My Docs or Program Files. |

I have XP as well, so it either you ar looking wrong or you are doing it wrongly. The folder is in the Program files. This is the original instructions from cyanide: https://www.cyanid...&t=771 |

It's not impossible, but neither is it recommended to do it. |

Thanks again CrueTrue for the quick reply. I'm not used to the HannesConverter but it shouldn't be that hard to do it. |

What is your problem. If it does not work by going back one day, maybe it could be fixed differentely. |

My problem is that Andy Schleck fell in the final of a flat stage in TDF and lost 5 minutes. I read that it's also possible to modify the GC but I can't figure out how.I'm in desperate need of help. |

DYN_classification_stage:
You have to find the ID of A. Schleck in DYN_cyclist and the ID of the stage in STA_stage.
Then search in DYN_classification_stage the line which matches both IDs (fkIDcyclist + fkIDstage). In this line you have to edit gene_i_value (Hint: There might be more then one matching line if A. Schleck got some mountain or other points yet but it should be obvious which one to edit)
I think that the overall time will be corrected after you played the next stage, but still I recommend to not overwrite the original save.
Edit:
If it happens again, press Escape und go back to the Main Menu. It is way easier to cheat like that than editing the DB.
