The final stage of the race and we got ourselves a nice little criterium. Three laps with a climb somewhere on them. The only real thing today to fight for is the dotted jersey.
Breakaway of the day seen climbing the first climb: Rincon (Ultimate) and Butterfield (Wal-Mart).
And then the final climb. Butterfield takes it in front of Rincon while they can see the pack just eating them up.
If Del Nero can take the final two points he can tie the KoM competition with Stultz
And he does just that! Both Del Nero and Stultz are at 64 points!
And he were are 5 kilometers from the finish. The sprinters are lining up again:
We got Ianetti leading out Vaitkus. Sentjens leading out Sieberg. Sulzberger leading out Clarke. De Kort leading out Kirchen. Vital by himself. And... Sinner leading out Tolleson? What?
2 kilometers to go: Sinner gets on the right side Tolleson and Sulzberger is leading Clarke, Dall'Antonia and De Ketele.
1000 meters: Dall'Antonia opens the sprint and gets a gap on De Ketele who are being challenged on both sides by Clarke and Sulzberger. Sinner is fifth.
150 meters: Dall'Antonia is losing steam. While Sinner and De Ketele are in a direct duel. Sinner cant get around Clarke.
And Clarke does it! He outsprints De Ketele while Dall'Antonia and Sinner have to go down on a photo finish. Vaitkus a bit behind does the fifth place.
