Its the final stage and with 7 riders within a minute of each other at the top of GC - and 48 within 2 minutes - there is still all to play for in this race. Dan Martin may lead now, but will he still be celebrating come the end of the stage?
14 men tried to get away early on and with Seledkov in there it was expected to go clear, but no, it was chased down
Instead it was an 11 man group to get the green light
In no particular order: Lorenzetto, Muravyev, Diniz, Duret, Kavsek, Biondo, Pozzo, Becerra, Perry, Hendersen and Reza
On the 2nd of the day's 3 main hills, this split with Biondo, Diniz, Muravjev, Lorenzetto and Duret pressing on
In the descent the groups came back together with the exception of Gregory Hendersen who had been dropped completely
As they have done all stage, 100% Me are controlling things in the peleton, limiting the lead of the breakaway
Henderson's day gets worse as he crashes before being caught by the peleton, meaning rather than being able to rest in the pack, they have already gone past by the time he is back on his bike
With 23km to go we approach the final hill and Visconti attacks
For the first time all day 100% Me are off the front of the pack - because Dan Martin is countering. Anza, Lejman and Kannemeyer go too.
Craven, Bole and Granjel Cabrera attack
Here go 2nd and 3rd overall, Longo Borghini and Wegmann
But Longo's attack completely fails, it looks like he will he losing places on the GC today
Over the top we have a large group - a mixture of the breakaway and the attackerd
There is a group of 17 ahead of 4 chasers - who are Astarloa, Van Garderen, Lejman and Ochoa Quintero
Muravjev leads the group which includes 2 of his teammates in - and with no LEGO riders there is a good chance that Sony Ericsson will take the lead in the team competition away from LEGO.
With 11.6km to go, Van Garderen has left behind the 3 other chasers and bridged to the front group alone
A group which he immediately attacks!
Bole, Duret, Serrano and Granjel Cabrera follow
Duret is going impressively well despite being in the break all day, while Bole is the big danger to Martin - also in the Stage 2 break, the slovenian is only 46 seconds behind the race lead.
Anza and Kunitski attack as well. Martin is left with Wegmann, Visconti and Craven
Granjel Cabrera hits the front with Van Garderen and Serrano in tow
Anza has attacked across to the front though, and moves over the road to take his position as lead out for Cabrera
The Cuban makes his move
But van Garderen is looking strong
Victory for the American!
Wegmann missed the move or else he might have got another stage, he takes 7th, 29 seconds down
Dan Martin battles to 11th and given the same time as Wegmann, he has done enough to win the race!
