A Mountain TT, classed as Hilly but the climbers are expected to win.
Mikhail Ignatiev was an early leader, but times began to tumble once the climbers began to finish, with Alex Ardila beating Ignatiev by 19 seconds, with a time of 28'39. Miholjevic went 2nd and some riders strong in Time Trials struggled, Lovkvist down in 46th and Jose Ivan Gutierrez in 50th.
Gutierrez' teammate Horrach did well though, taking 2nd with 28'42, just 3 seconds behind Ardila. Iker Camano came even closer, 28'40. Ardila's time looked set to fall and it did! The rider immediately after Camano was Sandy Casar and with 28'28, Casar was the new man to beat.
Sergio Paulinho went 3 seconds off, and Michael Rogers was 9 seconds behind. Gustov equalled Rogers and then Sinkewitz came just 1 second off Casar. It was time for a new leader and as Casar did to Ardila, Jose Luis Rubiera took 11 seconds off Casar, a new lead time of 28'17. Marzano missed out by 5 and...
WOAH. Bruseghin is worthy of a picture due to the amount he cut from the lead. It will probably not last though as Guerini comes in just 8 seconds slower, in 2nd.
Tonti, Dessel and perez Cuapio to come while Plaza could take the lead - he leads at the first checkpoint, 3 seconds up on Bruseghin. Di Luca has begun, meaning no one else is left to start.

Tonti and Dessel were poor but Perez Cuapio was looking good. What can he do? It's 27'56! He has equalled Bruseghin. Bruseghin still leads though.
Simoni leads at the first check as Efimkin fails at the finish. Caucchioli goes 3rd though, just 3 seconds behind. Nibali cant do it and Ruben Plaza? He becomes the 3rd ride on 27'56.
Its all going to be fireworks for the last few riders though here are the times at the first check.
Piepoli: 1'33; Di Luca: 11'33; Simoni: 11'35; Cunego: 11'36; Schleck: 11'38. Whaetever happens, theres not going to be any big time gaps!

Damiano Cunego. He's in the blue Maglia Bianca because I forgot to change it after the reinstall. 4th and the first check and he goes:
3rd! With one to go, he is likely to finish 4th.
