I'm playing on easy because I'm not that good of a manager.
At the moment my team is in the Tour of Quatar and twice in a row my cyclist Edvald Boasson Hagen has beaten Cavendish in the sprint... by a landslide.
I thought that the difficulty-setting did something about the positioning of the opponents, when they started sprinting and so on, but does it acctually make them worse?

I don't know how is the AI in easy settings because I don't play with that level of difficulty but maybe Boasson Hagen is in better shape than Cavendish at that point. |

Its was the first race of season for both Hagen and Cav.
In the sprint, the best Cavendish can do is to keep the same pace as Edvald. He doesnt stand a chance to gain anything on him

"Is easy too easy?" - YES
I play on hard and I believe it's pretty realistic.. (Just finished 4th in 2009 Tour de France with Andy Schleck - CLIMBERstat 81). I would recommend that you play on normal since you're new to the game |

don't forget the wind in Qatar. The sprints there aren't really like the usual ones

I have to agree, hard level is most funny and with the most realistc results...
But it's not too good, too... For example I was never beaten in Roubaix, and it never was with one of the strongest... But sometimes it's too hard, for example only 3 of my riders finished the Champs-Elysses stage in peloton and none of them was chasing... |

But when you start a career you also choose a financial difficulty. You choose both. |

Hehe, most realistic must be somewhere between hard and extreme. With a good climber you can always win any grand tour on hard. |

True. It's important to remember that there's two difficulty settings:
One in the Options menu
One in the Career Options Selection menu.
The first one is for the difficulty of the races, 2nd one is for the budget in career mode. |

I realised easy was too easy when I started getting 1-2-3's and winning every stage in both the Tour Down Under and Tour of Qatar! I was playing as Saxo Bank but still constantly getting 'historic treble's' (per the 'newspaper' was a little too unliklely...lol |

Well, in my opinion the different grades are weird..
The level easy, is way too easy, you can win nearly win a mountain stage with a rider like Jens Voigt Of course noo, but it is very vey very easy.
Normal and hard, you can win a stage if you use your brain, but it is much more realistic than easy. I guess hard is the most realistic level in the game, 'cause extreme is way too extreme!

Hmm, Cycling Manager ain't a game or a hobby - its a lifestyle.
