What team to Choose for a Career?
breezer
Hey there guys.

I will try to start a new career.
But i really dont know exactly what team to try out.

I want a team where i can develop great young riders, and where there are allready talents settled up.
I always want a team that can participate for the GCs in the GTs....
So yeah.. what team do u think i should choose and why?

Lots of teams fit that bill.

Rabobank?
Mencov is a GC contender, Gesnik is the talent

Ag2r?
Nocentini, Kruziger (both GC conteder(ish) and talents)

etc

Yes, of course. Don't know what I was thinking.

My career at the moment is with Cervello test Team. You get to sort of work your way into the CTT and it is so easy to build on anything you want because there is not as much pressure for great results.

also i havent been refused a wildcard yet. Although i am not up to the tour yet.

Don't forget Basso.

Bennati and Chicchi for the sprints.

Sounds like a good team if you want to win alot of stage races.

Rabobank is pretty good, it has young guys like Boom, Langeveld or Gesink who in 2-3 years can be the top guys in their respective categories. It has some experienced stars like Menchov, Flecha or Freire and some good guys for small races like Posthuma, Clement, Ten Dam, Nuyens or Garate.

make your own team! And then your own jersey its great!I am team Sanders-Scott-Cycling! (sanders being kfc guy Pfft). but dont put your money at 100% you can give yourself one hell of a team but its just dull and unrealistic as you can win everything so easily as well as do brilliant in the pro tour competitions so i would recommend putting at about 70% as this makes it slightly more challenging and you can find some young gems! Also making your own jersey is great! I love mine!

Team Saxo Bank is fun team to play, you have talents like Andy schleck who is GC contender and talent, you have also Frank Schleck and Cancellara to TT`s. Or Team Columba High Road have some very good sprinters like Cavendish or Eisel, and GC Contenders like Kirchen.

I agree with this. Just started with Saxo Bank and Cancellara won the Tour Down Under and Voigt is looking good for Qatar with two stages to go. I am playing on Normal though and I seem to win almost every stage a little too easily. I guess I should increase the difficulty level Smile

Just ran through the official database, Rabobank CT seem to have a bunch of young riders with 6 or 7 potential. Four of them if I remember correctly, mostly for cobbled classics and sprints.
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord will delete my browser history.

I started a season with Andalucia Cajasur, nice small team with plenty of potential. I won a ton of races including two stages in the Giro. Then signed a load of young talent. Love this team.
