After the last tour, do you think that Jurgen Van Den Broeck will be the new leader of Silence lotto? He finish 15th in overall and Evans finish 30th.

I think if Evans is willing to take a pay cut (or even if he isn't) he might go to Radio Shack to support Armstrong in the tour and lead in the Giro or Vuelta

Perhaps... but I don't think he's got enough of a TT at the moment to really compete at a GT... while when Evans is on form he definitely can.
Evans had a bad tour... but a lot of it came from peaking too early (the so called "Dauphine Libere" curse). At their best, Evans is a better GT bet. |

Good shape or not, Van der Broeck, whitout a team working for him finish whit a higher place then Evans. Slience manager will surely think about it

As i remember it, Van den Broeck crashed, Silence waited for him, but then Van den Broeck couldnt keep up and was dropped soon after - I think thats what Evans said in an interview anyway

Van den Broeck was dropped in the TTT because after he had relayed he didn't accelerate when he was going to get back on the man in front of him's wheel because he thought there were more riders to come, and when he realized that it was the last person it was too late, he was 10-25 metres behind the Silence-Lotto train and took it easy to save energy for the mountains. |

Marc Sergent has said that Evans won't be only captain next year on Silence, both Van den Broeck and Evans will be leaders next year.

Sorry, I must have mixed van den Broeck with another Lotto-rider that did what I said.
But yes, it will be interesting to see what van den Broeck can do next Tour, but still, I think that Evans is the leader. |

when Evans will be next year in Silence Lotto he will be also leader..this was just one GT. I belive Lotto guys knew this before that van den Broeck can ride (closest example 2008 Giro).
cycling is not one race..(for example you can´t say that Menchov sucks). And Lance need also start this way..at the moment he is after riders who was great at the tour..open your eyes man. |

He always got into the mountain stage breaks after loosing the time and was able to hang on "kinda" when caught. Its how Casar and company have always placed high on GC. Not a dumb tactic. He does look as though he will be a good GC guy. |
