I would like to ba able to pull the data for the riders (just one team is OK) from the database. Don't want to change anything, just have an easy way to see the data and sort, etc. in Excel. Age, Team Status, Morale, Rider Attributes, Fitness Points, Number of Races, Experience, Fatigue. Copying these by hand every game day is very tedious. Any (easy) way to do this? Very little experience with game editors, converters, etc. (none of it good).
Looked good and I tried it. Cannot get it to run. Here's what happened (Also posted on the Cyanide forum):
Apologize up front for my lack of computer knowledge.
First, the problem: When I run PCMSTAT_beta_v09.xls, first I get "Your application is about to initialize ActiveX controls that might be unsafe. If you trust the source file, select OK and the controls will be initialized using your current workspace settings." I hit OK (I've also tried cancel - no difference).
The xls opens. When I hit the upper gray areas (name, savegame file and team), it acts just like a normal Excel cell. Are they suppose to run macros??? I can type in my name, the path/file and the team name.
When I hit the "Main Menu" button I get the error:
Error 91 was generated
Object variable or With blank variable nor set.
ModuleName= Main
SubName= MonthNumbers

How I got there:
I downloaded the rar file.
Also downloaded the updated xls file.
Figured out what rar is and downloaded WiRAR.
Extracted the rar to c:/pcmdata/
Did nothing with the jpgs folder since I am using the original db from Cyanide. (I did later convert all the dds and tga files to jpg, but they are still in the Cyanide directory.)
Did nothing with the Templates folder.
Installed Imagemagick with the "Install ImagemagickOLE object control for VB, VBSCRIPT....." box checked.
Set the Excel macro Security to the lowest setting and checked the "Trust access to Visual Basic project" box. (Have later gone back to be sure that these are as indicated.)
Ran PCMSTAT_beta_v09.xls

It probably uses macros, so you need to activate them when opening PCM. Also, I don't know if it matters, but the program has to be installed in C:\PCMSTAT_TEMP\ .
The gray button is pretty important - it's used to load the details from your game, so when that works, the program will work.

The macro security is on the minimum and everything is in C:\PCMStat\. ????
