Hi guys
I'm new in this forum and I want to ask you is it possible to play Pro Cycling Manager 09 or 08 with the database for Pro Cycling Manager 07 or 06 (for example "TITAN 05" or "pack PCM Spain 2006" in PCM 08 or 09). If this
possible please tell me how? |

It'spossible if you convert the DB, but that's not easy to do if you're not so experienced with DB making.

Listen, you can't just copy over the stuff. First of all, the shirts and stages don't work with PCM09. Second of all, there's a lot of tables in PCM06 and PCM07 which don't exist in PCM09. And third, to convert a DB from PCM06 to PCM09 does require some technical knowledge and DB-know-how.
I know for a fact that the guy who made the TITAN05 is converting it to PCM09. |

0buKKaKe: There's two screenshots of it in the PCM09 General Screenshots section. There's no guarantees that he'll ever finish it, but at least he's trying
T_Hushovd: It's just as complicated for PCM08. |

Why Cyanide don't create a sysytem to simply convert the DB whitout all the big work?

Uhm, because that'd pretty much limit the DB progress. |

You would need to copy and paste specific columns of specific tables, you would not be able to simply copy the whole tables from PCM06 and paste it into PCM09 as the columns in each tables have changed over the years.
And there would be a lot of info which couldn't be copy and pasted, a fair amount of it would have to be individually modified to work in the new PCM. The time-consumption takes its toll when having to modify lots of individual cells so they are compatible in the new databses.
Definately possible, but definately very time-consuming also.
