Hey, I need your help!
My problem is about stagemaking and displaying cities in-game. If I add city to stage via stage editor it won't show up in game. I can see only pavements, streetlights, benches, but buildings aren't there...
I've tested it with different stages - deleted city from stage, saved, then added it again in same place with same parameters and checked it. It didn't show up as well.
'Localities' and Villages are showing up correctly, but small/medium/large cities not...
Anyone experienced same problem? Any idea what's going on? |

Have you checked your 'code' against other stages where cities show up? |

Yes, and everything looks fine.
That's why I have completely no clue what might be going on |

Have you tried them in game or just rendering in the stage editor? |

I know the way you put down cities changed with PCM09. I wonder if you have to places the buildings manually?
It should be obvious from the code at the bottom of the .xml files if you need to do this.
I'm not a stagemaker though, so this is only an (mis)educated guess. |

Putting cities down is almost the same as in PCM08, u don't need to place buildings manually.
Btw, if you want to help me... Could you create a stage, with few roads and Medium City in? I'll take a look into it and try to find out difference with mine stage. |

Sorry - I meant to say PCM08. I think it used to be much easier and less work to place cities.
Have a read of the first couple of pages - Bilbo and Jaap complaining about putting buildings down manually.

Not sure if things have changed since then.

Ah, yea, that is right, but it's change only for cities you create by yourself. Earlier u could just add 'building="1"', and buildings were showing in correct place (even if you didn't add city via Stage Editor). Now it has to be done manually.
But nothing has changed in issue of cities being added by Stage Editor - like Small City, Locality etc - they're premade by Cyanide and should work smooth.
So, again, could you help me in way I asked for in last post I'll be really grateful! |

Make a quick stage. Have exactly the same problem as you.
As I said, I'm not an expert. When I read the other thread, it seemed they were saying you have to place all the buildings manually.
A stagemaker is needed.... |
