How to change witch/how many races?

Does any of you know how the game AI decide witch riders who participate in witch races in carrer mode? I´m a disapointed because many of the good riders (epspecialy sprinters) have very few racedays Pettachi 20 racedays in a year fx. There are very few sprinters in the big tours.

And in the giro and the vuelta there are hardly no competiton, none of the good stage race riders or climbers participate in those races (in the vuelta Valeverde was there, but after him there was only a couple of riders with 72-74 in climbing).
In the Tour they all there, but here I miss the sprinters, who really do not want to win anything in this game, they are on holyday most of the game it seems.

Is it possible to do something about this, by changing something with the advanced editor?

You can't define which riders race which races in career mode unfortunately.

The day Tom Boonen actually rides the Tour of Flanders will make me really happy.

I always seem to have the opposite problem. Playing as a small team where my best sprinter has like 74 and all the big guns are always showing up. Its enough to make most of the sponsor goals laughable at best at times.

I don't even race any of the UPT events, but all the top squads and riders are usually there. Many times my only shot is to put riders in the break and then hope the peleton rips itself apart in the final chase (which it seems to do fairly often in pcm 2009 actually).
