Something similar happened to me. It was due to an incompatibility problem with the visual themes or something like that (I use Windows 7, but if you use Windows Vista I guess the problem's the same). This is what I did:
1 Go to the game directory and right-click in PCM.exe. Then click Properties.
2 In the tab Compatibility, in the Settings section, activate "Disable visual themes" and "Disable desktop composition".
I hope it helps you! |

Thank's for you'r help, but don't seem to work.
I'm using XP. Maybe thats why i don't have a
"Disable desktop composition" button.
Well, i'm gonna try again tomorrow.

The mentioned options are for Vista only.
I read that somebody solved the problem by deleting some files, read more here: https://www.cyanid...&t=561

It would be much easier to just post the solution instead of linking to other threads: Go to Program Files/Cyanide/PCM/Videos and delete Emergent and the KeMedia OR Focus files. |

I have almost the same problem, but I don't see a cyanide logo in start-up. I have tried deleting the video-files and almost anything else suggested on the forum.
I also had problem with the 08 version, but i got it fixed in the end, and I suppose my problem with the 09-vesion also will be fixed at some point, but it is quite frustrating |

Try disabling any firewall that you may have activated. Also, did you try reinstalling? |

This actually solved the problem I was having with my new quad-core Windows 7 machine. Thanks a lot! |
