Im currently playing PCM 2009 woth Caisse D'Epargne in february of the first season (don't know if it matters). I've just rode the Vuelta a Mallorca, and i noticed my riders who should help Valverde don't protect him anymore. I start the race and let Valverde be protected by a lesser rider, and then on the final hill i want Arroyo to protect him, but he can't, even when i go to the protection tab, Valverde's name isn't there. Same for Moreno, he can't either, on the last climb nobody can actually. I find this quite strange because sometimes they do protect him on the last hill, but mostly not.

Have you made the lesser rider stop protecting him.

Is he in same group as the others?
If not he can`t be protected (he`s too far or domestics don`t have enough stamina to protect), otherwise I don`t know, I didnt have this problem yet.

They are both in the front of the peleton practically next to each other.
