Official startlist TDF09 for PCM09
solidcykel10
Hello everybody!

I have created a startlist for the Tour de France 2009 corresponding to the official startlist - it has been tested in single player "stage race"-mode - I think it might work as well for single player "career mode".

The file needed is attached.

Unzip file and copy it to the following folder:

documents/pro cycling manager 2009/import

When starting up the game choosing fx. Stage Race/Tour De France, the game will automatically tell you that there is a predefined startlist for the race. if it does not tell you, you have placed the file incorrectly.

Enjoy! I know I will!Banana

P.S. The startlist is currently without Tom Boonen - he can be added easily instead of Allan Davis. I will upload the new startlist on request if necessary.

UPDATE!!!
New file added because of rider change:

Thomas Dekker replaced by Charles Wegelius

Which DB is the start list based on?

I have the Expansion Pack installed....but it should not matter as the startlist is generated from each cyclist ID number in the database.

No matter what database you are using, the cyclist ID number in the database should be the same. You can find the ID number by viewing the database through the advanced editor. Hence you can make startlists for all races by using this editor - you just need to know the exact name of the race-file, which also can be found with the advanced editor.

I know about all that. But you can never know if a DB maker has changed the ID of the riders. E.g., I changed all the numbers in PCM.daily's DB for PCM08. I didn't for the PCM09, though.

Allright, I just assumed that ID's would be the same - I see no point in changing them. Just makes things more difficult for the amateur-database-editor Wink

Nevertheless, its just a question of opening the database with Cyanides advanced editor and to follow these steps:

1. open table DYN_cyclist
2. find rider IDs you need for startlist (and write them down)
3. open table DYN_team
4. find team IDs you need for startlist (and write them down)
5. open table STA_race
6. find name of race in column "gene_sz_variant_xml (and write it down)
7. open startlist file with Notepad (right click on file, choose "open with notepad)
8. put in the team ID's and cyclist ID's for the race you need
9. save startlist file with name found in step 6 (include spaces)
10. if necessary rename file to .xml
11. save the startlist in dokuments/pro cycling manager 2009/import
12 you are good to go!

I hope the instructions are helpful to newbies Smile

And what about if I need the startlist for my carrer?

solidcykel10
I have not tried it yet, but if you create startlists for all races the game should automatically offer you to use predefined startlist at every race.

Try creating a startlist for the first race you encounter in career mode and see if it offers you to use de predefined startlist.

You can't have startlists in a career.

It's a pity... At least for first season it would be useful Smile

In PCM08 (PCM.daily database) I had problem... All good riders were targeting Tour de France...and then my best opponents for Giro were Vande Velde with Bruseghin and for Vuelta J.I.Gutierréz with Nibali.... But it's true that this thing startlists wouldn't solve....

Working perfectly here. I have the Expansion Pack DB installed. What database are you using?
