Tour Down Under - Stage 1
SportingNonsense
It's the opening HC race of the season and it is PCM09.

A break of 10 went away
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTHC/tdu1.jpg
Hruska, Martins, Cunha, Klimiankov, Roulston, Lima, Signego, Nogaledo, Van Ooijen, Bahati

Lima took the first sprint ahead of Cunha

Nogaledo took the climb ahead of Signego, and Martins

Nogaledo is 2nd at the next one to take the jersey, Klimiankov won this particular climb
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTHC/tdu4.jpg

The 2nd sprint was very tight. Nogaledo takes it over Cunha and Roulston

Devenyns, Pasamontes and Podgorny attacked the peleton and linked up with the break with around 40km to go - the break lewading now by 1'45

It starts to split into the finalk 25km, here are Van Ooijen, Kilimiankov, Hruska, Lima and Bahati

Van Ooijen then goes solo
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTHC/tdu8.jpg

Splits in the peleton too, a group of 45 lagging behind the front group of 44
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTHC/tdu9.jpg

Holding onto his lead, 10km left for Van Ooijen
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTHC/tdu10.jpg

But the Dutchman is caught at 7.5km to go, allowing the sprinters to move into place

Its Starbucks at the head of things as Minard leads out Renshaw
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTHC/tdu12.jpg

But Traksel is closing in with Goss on his wheel. On the other side of the road, Tolleson is going well too with Sinner.

Just as it looked like he had lost his advantage, Renshaw pounces
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTHC/tdu14.jpg

Ciolek, Corioni and Sinner lead the chase behind the Australian
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTHC/tdu15.jpg

But it's a win for Renshaw!
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTHC/tdu16.jpg

A lot of riders were to get lucky with time gaps. Infact, anyone outside the top 27 should really have lost a bit of time - more so those outside the top 40. But today their luck is in.
