After going on an angry vendetta when my team (Thorn Power) failed to produce much cash after promotion to the Pro Tour, I ended up, completely luckily, with Contador, Pozzato and Haussler. Great in some ways, but on the finance side of things, not great.
It's the 1st May and we've gone in to negative figures. We have 50,000 in sponsorship a month and make around 70,000 in winnings per month, but this cannot compensate the 240,000 going out each month. Obviously, at the end of the month, we are bankrupt, and with the Giro ending on June 1 - it could be disastrous.
I have been scouring these forums looking for previous threads on this, but I have had conflicting views on the Hannes Convertor. Obviously it can change teams budget (which is what I want), but some say it won't change your current game and some say that it can change your current game.
I want more money pumped into my current career. CAN I DO THIS using the hannes converter without losing my current game?
Or does anyone have any other tips about what to do when your bank balance is overdrawn? Thanks

You can not edit budgets in a DB. You CAN edit budgets in a save game which is what you'd like to do.

I have the Hannes Converter up using the trial version of WinRAR.
Now I need to 'load my database and select dyn_team'. I have found the file of my career in the Pro Cycling Manager Season 2008 folder that is automatically set up by the game when you install it.
Problem is, I can't load the database on to the Hannes Converter. I try and open my career database file and it says "AutorunApp stopped working" every time. I'm still working at it, but any help would be hugely appreciated.
I'm not even sure i'm actually on Hannes Converter. It created a folder on my desktop, the folder containts:
Data Folder > Empty
DB Folder> Empty
Accessdll.dll
CDBparse.dll
Database
Hannes Converter (non working internet shortcut to a german site)
HannesConverter2007 (opens an application of some sort. german writing. tried to put files on to it but nothing happened)
header.hex
MyMessageBox.dll
tables
uninst
zlib.net.dll
I use Vista

I've got a feeling this is it. So when I click on my file it tells me the file already exists, and asks me if I want to replace it. A 'yes' click then gives you a smaller white box with a thick blue border around the outside, with nothing in it. At the bottom, in the centre, an orange OK button is present. Pressing this leads to a warning message, "Unhandled exception has occured in your application".

'C:\Users\ConorM\Desktop\Hannes_Converter_PCM2008\Data\DYN_chrono_team_time_trial.hex'."
Clicking continue from here then gets rid of the smaller white box in the application, and returns just to the larger one with the same blue border, and 4 buttons on the top. One resembling a plug, one with a save disk, one with a Microsoft Access logo and the other reads SQL (with an orange boomerang over the top of the letters).
Using the plug like button, I have tried accessing my file through that. Again - "unhandled exception has occured in your application" "object reference not set to an instance of an object" - I have no idea?!??? Clicking continue from here makes the application go entirely grey, and you are forced to exit it.

AHHHHH!!!! The game now crashes when I try and load my game. Something has definitely gone wrong. Urgent help please!!!

I guess you are playing PCM09. Hannes Converter is not compatible with save games from 09.
Use the Advanced Editor and follow the steps Crue posted in the link.  |

Nope i'm using PCM08.
I've decided to get start again with a different team (Agritubel). If anyone still would like to share their advice on the matter i'd be grateful, because i've got a couple of apps on my computer now that are only really going to be a nuisance unless I use them.
