Most strange thing about sprinting in PCM 09: you can't open the sprintbox except just before the sprint. So you can't put your sprinter in agressive mode earlier. Which makes is much more difficult to hold a good wheel in the final. (It seems like competing AI-sprinters are able to use the agressive mode all time). Except for tours with intermediate sprints, in which you can turn on the agressive mode at an intermediate sprint and you'll profit in the end. This creates a rather big difference in difficulty between the two different types of stages.
It wouldn't be a bug, if it was a bug then there would be an option on the interface to select to bring up the sprint box. I personally like it this way, now I do not have to go and set everyone to aggressive as soon at the stage starts. Honestly though I wouldn't say that it makes the game that much harder, you really only need to worry about your lead outs and your sprinter. worst comes to worst u can cheat and pause the sprint.

True, i've never considered it a problem in the sprints either - use a lead-out, pause - there are ways to get around it. My only problem i at the intermediates when it pops op, and others are on the attack. Then you'll have to wait and pull everyone back on your own.
