No sooner have we started the 50km criterium race than the attacks begin - Urtasun of SL Benfica
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc1.jpg

100% Me kick off their season and Thomas Murray leads the counters
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc2.jpg

In the end a group of 10 formed - all of them with decent sprints.

And who is included but none other than last year's winner Mikhail Khalilov
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc3.jpg
Murray, Urtasun, Stewart, R.Williams, Pichot, Schadlich and Clarke were some of the others there - Simon Clarke potentially dangerous as an Aussie with 79 sprint

Schroder caught the group to make it 11, with only EON Ruhrgas not represented
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc4.jpg

The gap is 2 minutes with 28km to go, as Sam Bewley now attacks
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc5.jpg

With Lego and Jack Wolfskin on the front, Bewley cant get far away and the breakaway are being brought back
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc6.jpg

Sure enough, the break are quickly caught with 21km to go and it's all back together
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc7.jpg

Not for long though, as Lorenzetto now attacks
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc8.jpg

Followed by Lima and Miyazawa
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc9.jpg

Miyazawa presses on alone
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc10.jpg

But now Schreck attacks from the pack, it really is relentless
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc11.jpg

Interestingly, Vaitkus is also going followed by Urtasun and Hivert
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc12.jpg

100% Me, Lego and IrnBru control the chase
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc13.jpg

Vaitkus is caught with 5km to go as Delage trys to get a gap but cannot
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc14.jpg

With all the attacks, its not easy for some of the sprinters to get to the front. Haedo has managed it, but then he goes and ruins it all by crashing
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc15.jpg

Its race over for him, as it is for other riders falling such as Renshaw and Kankovsky
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc16.jpg

Could we have a surprise up front? The riders in the relay train are leading it out, and Miguel Chacon, Russell Downing and Thomas Murray can all sprint
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc17.jpg

But Chacon's teammate Erik Mohs is right up there
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc18.jpg

It seems only Matt Goss or Peter Kennaugh can stop Mohs as the German hits the front
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc19.jpg

It does seem to be a perfect race for Mohs, no hills, and he is pulling away!
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc20.jpg

He takes an impressive victory!
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/duc21.jpg

Aussie rider Matt Goss is 2nd, ahead of Peter Kennaugh
