Crashes during gameplay

I have just started to play the game and the game kept stopping for a while then starting again in 3D mode. Also the big red arrow goes when i move it to the bottom of the screen and I cant click anything because the arrow goes to your normal white desktop arrow and a few icons from my desktop show up in the background of the game. Can anyone help me in finding out whats gone wrong.
