Hi.

I just had a very weird race.

My team: Team CSC Saxobank (first season).
Race: Monte Paschi Eroica.
Diffiulty: Normal

I had Jens Voigt protecting Fabian Cancellara from the start, and relayed him up to the front of the peloton, and the same with Ljungqvist/F. Schleck and Arvesen/O'Grady.

No breaks at all for the first 40 or so kilometres. I tried to get Andre Steensen to get water, but he was too weak, so I had to send C. Sorensen down instead. While I was making sure that this worked, I didn't check much up front...and suddenly, I noticed that Voigt was getting very tired.

I clicked on him, noticed he was alone and thought "what the hell, why did he drop...hang on, E2? But there's been no break!" Shock

I then checked E1, and Cancellara was alone and pulling away...he ended up 8'22" ahead by the end of it, all at effort level 50 and no breakaways at all. I managed to get O'Grady in third and Ljungqvist in 8th...and only 17 riders made the time limit.

CSC and Quickstep were the only teams to get enough rider to the finish to get a time in the team competition. Grin

it always splits massively in eroica and very few riders finish because of the massive cobbled sections - doesn't seem too far from pcm normality

not only the massive cobbled sections are the reason. Usually the AI team don't bring their best cobblers there so they came with riders that have nothing to do with the cobbled racesWink

It look like that each time I play Monte pashi eroica. On pcm07 and on pcm08 and it will probably continue on pcm09...
When Nothing goes rigth, go left...

That explains it. This is my first time playing PCM'08, so I don't really know what's normal or not.
