So, 2nd race is about to start. Ive not looked at the Tour de Langkawi startlist yet, but I imagine this could be a sort-of dress rehearsal for it (the route is after all similar, just slightly shorter) - although with just 7 teams here (2 notably very strong ones) who knows what will happen!

Nice win! And had totally forgotten about that hattrick there, SN.
I actually didn't think D'Amore would cope with the hills and Borrajo would go for it instead. Gotta defend that leader jersey now.

Nice race and great report.
Good to see Vespa animating the race as well.
Hopefully, Gavazzi will be able to feature in the next stage. |

Damn I read this before the result and thought when I read hattrick that I had won. I was active though so am not complaining.

And there that streak ended. Maybe brought to many sprinters to get that break back. Now it's up to Santander to defend the lead.

Seemed like the pack just let that one go.
Good to get Cassidy in there. Good result for a young rider.
This won't be the last break to make it.

This is starting to get ridiculous. 4 riders in the top 11 on a flat stage. Winning, and taking the overall lead in both races.
Dream result.

Great start to the season, but why didn't Alarcon save energy?

After digging a bit in the DB to confirm my suspicions about Kankovsky, I think it's kind of strange that he could hang on eventhough it was a completly flat stage.
Also, good reports again, SN. |

I'm just waiting to see a group of three or four get away, and they build up a huge, huge lead. |

I don't know if Santander is chasing but they I have sent a pretty strong flat team so I suspect that is unlikely while I have the jersey.

Kankovsky highlights the problem with PCM08. Sprints suck in it |

Yeah, there is no sign of a working sprint train for me. Looks like it's everyone for himself. Second is good though.
