Anybody buy it from the online store?

I can get the bin files but I never receivered a serial and can't download the #1 file (the exe I guess) it just gives me a blank page.

I really enjoyed this game last year and are late to the party this time around because of all the bugs I decided to wait this year... but man what an experience from hell so far.

* Game purchase page hung, sent me an e-mail confirming the purchase without any serial and the first download link not working.

* Can't signup for the gamesplanet website because it's subscription based

* There's absolutely no tech support or FAQ to be found on the website

* Can't signup for Cyanide's website because I still use my hotmail account

Just a really, really frustrating experience for myself and at this point I just want to ask for my money back and pirate the damn game, it would probably be faster with less hassles.

We'll see how customer support works out but how can companies even wonder why people pirate pc games these days? I've spent 20 bucks for absolutely nothing but headaches. Was really looking forward to playing the game over the weekend with my time off.

Hopefully customer support from the e-mail I got after the purchase will help, and hopefully it's fast.

Anybody else have an experience from hell getting this game?

No.

Downloaded quite a few games and PCM08 was one and I had no problems at all.

Seems like your problem is something to do with the Gamesplanet service or a corrupted download.

Already been done, I suspect the problem is related to the hang on the purchase page though.

Well I just want to say that I received a swift response and apparently the transaction didn't go through properly so I've redone it this morning.

The customer service by focus was prompt and excellent so overall I'm happy now and would buy from them again.

As for the game, is there anything I need to avoid? I know 07 had a lot of game crashing bugs.

First of all, you need the latest patch: https://pcmdaily.com/infusions/pro_dow...hp?did=538.

If you want to play with current teams (2009), you're going to need a DB. The best one seems to be RSM News DB: https://pcmdaily.com/infusions/pro_dow...hp?did=621.

I'm glad you got through the buying process. There's been a lot of problems with it - some times, you get a blank screen, some didn't get a key, etc., etc.

It's too late now, but for anyone who consider buying PCM08, I recommend buying it through Steam instead. It seems much more stable.

Wish I looked on steam first...

I have the patch, I enjoy the game but don't really follow cycling so I'll probably be happy with the default database.
