Okay, so I just started up my PCM06 again for the first time in a while and decided to play a career that has been going on for a long time without any problems. First thing I do is signing up for some races that I probably shouldn't have done. The E3 Prijs Vlaanderen... First time racing it in this career and it crashed. I remember that I could easily simulate it when I wasn't a part of the race. My game crashes everytime I try to simulate or race it and while trying to reload my save I noticed 2 other saves were stuck on the same race but not the same year. I've tried swapping the race .xml files with other races to see if it worked but nope.
So my question is.. Is it possible with an editor to actually remove yourself from the start list of a race on the day it starts?
Or maybe another solution to the problem? |

Seems to make my save game corrupt if I do it. I did exactly what the guide told me to do and the game shuts down right when I open the save game now. Hmm... |

I hope you made some backups then
Anyway, you can skip a day using the editor. Open GAM_config and STA_stage . In GAM_config, there's some tables called "stage current" and "stage last" or something like that. Put the "stage current" data in "stage last".
Now, open STA_stage and sort it by gene_i_computed_date. Find the first stage of the day AFTER E3 Prijs Vlaanderen and note down the stage id.
Open GAM_config again and type the number you just found in stage current.
Scroll across to gene_i_date and use this tool to create the UNIX code: https://www.onlineconversion.com/unix_...x_time.htm
Type in the day after E3 Prijs (at 12:00:00 ). Click Submit and copy the code to gene_i_date.
Save, and you're good to go. |

Meh, I've tried everything and it still crashes when I open my save game. There are 4 races on the day after the E3 Prijs. GP Llodio, Brabantse Pijl and 2 stages of the Criterium International (weird). I've tried with them all in my "stage current" and neither of them works.
If it actually worked, how would it work out if I skipped a race. Would it be simulated or not raced at all?
Also one thing I saw was in the gene_i_computed_date my "stage last" was the first stage of the criterium international which was listed in the list as after the E3 Prijs. But I suppose it doesn't matter because it's the same time of the day. But that was why I tried with all the races of the day after E3 Prijs.
Gah, I guess I'll just have to forget this save. |

I looked it up and it seems the Hannes Convertor is for PCM07 though I don't know if it is supposed to work for both. Didn't fix the problem for me anyway, but I could open my save game in it. |

Most articles also 'work' with PCM07 and PCM08. |

It's actually in the downloads section for PCM 07 and not PCM 06. So I suppose it would work with 07. Though I suppose it works for 06, 07 and 08 then? Is there a way to delete a race from the calendar then? |
