I guess the interest for ESC here is not too big, but it's OK to have a tread to discuss.. |

Thankfully Ireland haven't entered a turkey this year. Although our song still isn't very good, although not many of them are really are they. |

I hate this contest. Always the points are given because of politic/regional things. For example, we give 12 points to Moldova, they give 12 points to us. Belarus gives 12 points to Rusia, and Rusia gives 12 points to them. Almost all the countries from the ex-URSS are giving points to Russia.

Clearly you are right, but this year Russia will maybe give 12 points to the France with Patricia Kaas who's well known in Russia.
After that, I think this contest is a huge crap. |

Eurovision is always good for a laugh, but the voting was indeed becoming progressively ridiculous. However, I seem to recall hearing somewhere that they're changing the whole scoring system, so that judges vote as well as the public. Otherwise it's absurd because Russia should always start as favourites due to their global situation and dominance. |

I'll be glad when this contest is over, especially because Belgium (well, actually only Wallonia) decided to send an Elvis Presley imitator this year. |

while the small countries have no chance.
Also this year are 2 semi-finals and there are no countries already qualified for the final because the countries that were in the semi-final had their songs already known by the large public, so clearly an advantage over the other countries that were in the final without going through the semi-final.

I like laughing at the singing bit ... and then laughing at the voting bit even more.
Since Britain are supposedly taking it more serious this year, I hope we come last again |

No, you won't. The last place is reserved for us Belgians. |

Asa compromise - you come last in the semi final and we will come last in the final |
