you mean it takes longer for pages with .PNG to load ?
It takes longer for the images to load... larger file size... more downloading images to get closer to download limits and stuff.

Properly compressed JPG's are nearly identical with PNG's

When I look to some screenshots on stories I guess i can say that PNG's have anyway a better quality.
But what is exactly the problem ? To upload png's screenshots on pcmdaily or to post screenshots who have been uploaded in others website on pcmdaily ? |

The problem is having to download 15 PNG's that are twice the size of similar JPG's.

The quality of JPEG/PNG is up to the uploader.

Excactly. Look at the filesizes:
PNG: 637 KB
JPEG: 335 KB
That ends up in a big difference, when you have about 15 screenshots on a page. (Quick math: 302KB*15 = 4.4 megabytes)
