A Superstar in the making
Hi, my name is Sergio Pardilla. I'm a 23 year old Spaniard, who rides for the Burgos Monumental squad. My results to date have been steady, but I've yet to pick up that stand out win (although I did win the Tour des Pyrenees last year) that'll get those ProTour teams interested in me. But that's going to change.
This year I'll be leading the Burgos squad in stage races. I love to climb, and I'm none too shabby at time trialing either. With time, I hope to be up their in the Vuelta, but this year, I'm just looking for my first big win, and maybe even a ProTour contract next year.
My season starts with the team's first race in February, at the Challenge Volta a Mallorca. I haven't got one specific race aim this year, although if the team gets a Vuelta spot, then we'll be going all out for a stage win there.
Anyway, I'll report next month from Mallorca, hopefully I can help Enrique Mata to a good spot there.
Challenge Volta a Mallorca
Our team leader is Enrique Mata, who's a decent sprinter and puncheur. Hopefully we'll get him into the top 10 overall, but it's a strong field.

So not a great start, but at least we avoided several crashes that occurred. Next stage is another flat stage, my job will be to continue protecting Enrique.
