once in a while that happens to me. cleaning the bottom of the CD very well with a cloth usually helps, but if it doesn't....I don't know what's wrong... |

might need to give your computer a dusting,
i've heard if you dust around the back/inside of your computer it helps

the only stuff that can be affected by dust is:
1. the fan. I assume the PC isn't overheating, so that's not the problem.
2. the RAM memory. if that was the problem, the PC wouldn't even start.
3. optical problem. the CDs/DVDs wouldn't read correctly.
apparently, that's not the problem. |

i don't think that that's the problem. The Game is in my Proccesses it uses 50 of my CPU!
EDIT: maybe i can update my drivers...But i don't know what things i have drivers for...you can see that with Everest or something...where to download?

I have the exact same problem. The weird thing is that I have played the game more than 20 times - no problem at all...then suddenly it wont start - as described in this thread. In the taskmanager you can see the PCM.exe running, using 50% of the CPU, and it takes up around 18mb of RAM. But the game itself doesn't pop up on the screen... |

I know how u can make it work.
Unninstall the game. Delete the maps that stay in PCM 07 Folder. Then Delete the hidden folders related to PCM 07 too!
I Hope i don't get this fault again!!!

What are the path to the hidden folders? I've tried uninstalling the game and deleting all the pcm entries in the reg database. After installing the game again it still doesn't work. |

You have to change your settings in the control panel so you can see hidden folders (I think) OR, you may be able to change it by right clicking and then looking around for a bit in the properties.

hmm...but are the folders hidden inside the PCM2007-folder? Cause i've deleted that folder and everything in it (including hidden folders if there is any)...my settings are already set so i should be able to see hidden folders, but dont know if there's anyone else than the ones in the pcm07-folder... |

Just tried uninstalling the game again. Deleting the PCM2007 folder under Program Files, deleting the PCM2007 folder under Documents. Reinstalling the game, reinstalling the patch...still doesn't work |

it should work now. Or try deleting the folder where your save-games are saved too |

Windows Vista + PCM = Don't mix - you're going to always have problems with PCM and vista
