I've left the pack 3 years ago, and since then I've been working at my holiday houses in Lamporrechio, Tuscany. But since I left in 2005, I'm feeling a bit empty, I had the feeling I wasn't finished yet. So, after a few conversations with Mirko Selvaggi, who lives here to, I decided to make my comeback in the peloton. At the age of 42, I hope I can still follow the young guys in some big races.
Tafi's stats:

I know, but he's a friend of mine and when Armstrong said that he would make his comeback, Tafi said: I can do it to, so that gave me the idea, and it's just fantasy |

Tour de San Luis stage 2:
A stage which I like, because I'm not in great form.
Guess what, I was in the break! Attacking is my speciality, so, I decided to have a go!
I even got the mountain points!
But then the pack caught us...
The only thing I could do the rest of the stage was getting water of my teammates.
After doing that, I was dropped,
Cadamurro had a hard time getting in the right position for the sprint.
Borrajo won the stage,
I was in 1 of the chasing groups, but i've got the mountain jersey!
Results:
1 Alejandro Borrajo Colavita / Sutter Home presented by Cooking Light 3h54'56
2 Magnus Bäckstedt Garmin - Slipstream s.t.
3 Michael Albasini Team Columbia - High Road s.t.
4 Luca Paolini Acqua & Sapone - Caffé Mokambo s.t.

Tour de San Luis Stage 3:
Strange country, this seems kinda weird...
Another weird thing, the final Km is on grass! I attacked with 2 km to go
I got to the leader, Cozza
Who can stop me today? Perhaps Garzelli....
And a lot of other guy can do that too...
7th place, I thought i was winning for a moment, but that feeling that it gave to me... I've got more motivation than ever!

Then why does the 46 year old (if i remember correct) Elliot still have a decent sprint it's just so he can get some nice results to keep it interesting |

News Flash:
Hi guys, I've got some interesting news facts for you, at first, when I was on the podium of the Tour de San Luis, to get the mountain yersey, I met my former teammate, Michele Bartoli. He wanted to return in Cycling, but his sponsor ISD didn't realy help him, so he stopped his plan. After some discussions with my manager, he said that we might give him a contract! Also, I met the Mapei boss! After years of sponsoring the Mapei team, he stopped the Mapei team in 2002, he continued to sponsor some smaller teams, but he also had some interests in our team! But if they sponsor us, that means that we have to promote to the Protour, or else it will be over after 1 season. We decided to talk at the Tour of the Mediteranian Sea, because they sponsored this race a little, he liked me to come, so I obtained an email from him:
