At mode ' Hard '
I am pretty new to career mode in cycling manager
and I started off today with one
and at the first tour ' of langkawi '
theres a time trial from 19 km
and no mather on how much I put the energy .. 60-65 etc
Larson keeps losing to wiggins , while he got ' 5 ' stats less in time trial
Do I need a steady energy in time trial , or move it alot while riding?
could use some tips...
Sorry if my english ain't perfect , it's the best I got xD |

Well, maybe Wiggins is in better form?
Anyway, what I find about time trials is, that the AI sets their energy according to the gradient - the steeper the hill/mountain the less energy the rider will use. This makes sense, but one of the ways to beat the AI is to ride with pretty much the same energy the whole race - this will make you ride hard uphill, where most time can be gained. You'll lose time on the flat and the downhill, but you'll most likely gain it all back when going up |

Well i don't see what to do then. By having the race on hard I believe the AI will have 102% of their stats iirc, so Wiggins will be slightly better than he appears |

So having the game on hard in normal races , and at normal in ' TT '
Would give the most realistic image? |

Yeah probably, cause you can't outsmart the AI on an all flat TT (to my knowledge), so you're kind of punishing yourself by going 'hard' on these
So to get a realistic result, you could go normal on the flat TT's and hard on evertything else (Where your tactical decisions make up for the slightly better AI). |

I find that if I go a little conservative on the long TT early then increase my effort for the last 1/3 of the race I usually have good results. For shorter races I try to find the constant effort that will make my energy bar expire just at the line. |
