TrackOnTheRoadFinal
What? A new mode, that I Call Track On The Road. You ride with AI engine of Track cycling on the road. A sort of Be A pro against each other.
TrackOnTheRoadFinal Database
-97 cyclists, with the best hill specialist, sprinters, climbers and cobble specialists.
- The 97 cyclist have their own team shirts, so it’s more realistic and you feel that you are riding on the way.
-Country flags are replaced by team logo’s.
-The Normal DB is set on Paris-Roubaix.
Download
Installation: the .cdb file you place in My Docs/PCM 2008/Database.
The map “Country flags” do you place in D or C/Program files/cyanide/Your PCM 2008 map/Gui. There you will see a map wich is called “country flags” and you paste the “Country flags” map of the zip. File there.
How to host with the TrackOnTheRoadFinal Database?
If you will host this mode, It is not so difficult. First of all, you download the Advanced editor V4, afterwards you export the DB, opens the STA_STAGE file and you search Paris 4. You scroll to right, until you find a table wich called gene_sz_stage_xml. You change the name to your choose(top_roubaix,top_france_grandtour_20.xml,etc…).
Note: You need Excell 2003 or higher for the Advanced Editor for optimal working.
Note2: As host you need to remember that you can’t climb more as 2%. So you need to change the slope to MAXIMUM 2%. It’s the maximum because of the AI, but it’s really hard in this mode.
Note3: When you make some changes in the XML File, you have to delete the zsvg file of the stage that you want.
Have Fun!

it's very funny, a 2% climb is like climbing the angliru, anything above 2% is impossible
a downhill is superfast, and the only thing what kinda ruins the mode is the AI. Other then that, it's fun |

Its pretty cool - would work great with 16 human players.
I would imagine though that it would work better with that Short Stage db Ruben made a while ago. Doing the whole of Paris-Roubaix would take forever! |

Yes it's a little boring when the stage are as long as Paris-Roubaix, particulary if you forget to change the slope and it blocks... |

Actually, if the stage is 200km long, the game turns it into 20km. It's like you run 10km for each km you actually run.

I don't know if you have tried it or not or if you're asking but a race usually takes 30~40min.

I was kinda doing both...
Quitted my first race with 15 kilometers to the finish line, as all the riders stopped and changed the speed to 0.1 to 0.5 km/h...
I tried to break out of the group to set up a pace, but my rider got tired when I hit 0.5 km/h...
Before the strange stop, the pace was at about 25 to 50 km/h.

Sometimes that happens. It actually happened to me in Paris Roubaix. On the other hand I've climbed the Alpe D'Huez at 65km/h
I've tried it a few times and it's fun to race if you have an hour to spare. Think of it as an arcade version of PCM

Well, I think I'm gonna try with Rubens short stages tomorrow. I never spend 1 hour on one single stage in PCM in single player mode.
Yeah, I know, no patience...
