PCM08 doesn't show up anymore after Disk-Check

My game suddenly crashed after competing the 5th stage in the Tour of Germany 2011. The game showed me the results and then before goiing to show me the newspaper-resultpage my PC started to restart itself!
I then tried to start PCM again, but the game won't start up after checking the disk (i have a genuine copy), although in task-manager the PCM.exe is running!
Please what can i do to fix this. I have been playing fairly long with Garmin now, leading the ProTour 2011, i wouldn;t like to loose all of this!

Make a back up of your save game(s), then uninstall the entire game, reinstall, patch install, DB install. And hopefully that'll be it.

hi im having the exact same issue, however i re-installed the game etc and the same problem still crops up. any ideas on what could be causing this, any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like you might have automatic update for Windows turned on.
That's one reason I can think of your PC might decide to restart itself. |

maybe i wasnt clear enough before, but i have infact tried rjc solution. as i said in my above post i have reinstalled the game and patches etc and the same issue still crops up, i was just wondering if anyone had any more infomation that could help me cheers |

that happend to me with PCM 07 and I couldn't find any solutions. Though months later I had to reinstall my Windows, after that I instaled the game again and it worked really strange.
And the thing with save games: the game stops on a black screen when loading, not before it even starts.

yeah all other games on the computer seem to be working, its only pcm thats having issues. maybe i should try re-installing windows like alexrk00 did? |
