I'll have a new story up soon. I'm debating amongst 3 teams: FDJ, Fuji-Servetto, or a team like Xacobeo-Galicia.
Hopefully I'll have this story up tomorrow.

The Serramenti-Diquigiovanni team centered around some of the biggest riders in professional cycling is a UCI Professional Continental team. With former Giro d'Italia champion Gilberto Simoni and former Triple Ardennes Classic winner Davide Rebellin the team looks to make itself a future ProTour team.
Backed by future big time riders such as Mattia Gavazzi and Jose Serpa Serramenti will look to win the General Classification in many races however will have GC or Green Jersey for each race. The only races where the team will look to gain both will be the big races or GT's such as the main goal for the season, the Giro d'Italia. After the goal for a high placing in the Giro the team will look to be promoted to the UCI ProTour for next season.
While it's being said that Gilberto Simoni and Davide Rebellin may not be back for the 2010 campaign, riders like Michele Scarponi will use the ability to ride with these guys as if it's a gift. Simoni and Rebellin will be two main guides to the success of the Serramenti team for promotion to the UCI ProTour.
Directeur Sportif, Alain Champs said that regardless of the contractual situations of the guys for this season, each of the 18 riders on the squad will play a key role in each and every stage or race. Regardless of where they end up, this season they are with Serramenti and that's what counts. Champs believes that the team is capable of moving to the ProTour next season and will look to bring in a lot of young talent as he believes veteran experience to help young talents is key.
He has opted to not schedule any races until February in order to get his guys into solid early season form for a long season ahead because if they want to get to the ProTour, they have to win races. While the teams goal is to place in the Giro and get promoted to the ProTour, the sponsors have somewhat "similar" objectives for the team.

GP Costa degli Etruschi
The plan for this race is to get a powerful sprint with Elia Rigotto leading out for Alberto Loddo. We have to be aware of the foothills in the beginning because our sprinters are very poor climbers. Hushovd and Hunter are the major favorites so we should try to get their wheel unless another leadout is better. Hopefully Loddo can open the season with a victory.
The race opened with a break of 7 including Dario Cioni. The breakaway is seen as no threat and is allowed to go up the road. This helped my sprinters as the pace wasn't punishing over the early climbs.
With not much action going on during the day and most inclined to believe that a sprint finish would be the result, Tosatto and Leezer attack. But they would never reach the front group.
...As they were caught rather quickly. Only the remnants of the early breakaway are up front. Cioni looking good for ISD.
The first leadout begins with Loddo on Rigotto's wheel and Rigotto sitting on Igor Astarloa's wheel. Hushovd however had immediately come in behind Loddo.
After a late attack with 4 km to go, only Dario Cioni (ISD) and Southam (Rapha Condor) are up front as the sprint is about to begin. Astarloa has good positioning up front.
And the sprint begins with Rigotto's acceleration to the front with Loddo on his wheel. Very good positioning at the moment, Hushovd is threatening and Hunter who is side by side.
Cioni and Southam finally get caught. Loddo than accelerates off of Rigotto's wheel.
Hushovd has passed, Loddo battling with Hunter for second here. They've got the podium barring disaster.
Hushovd wins. Hunter 2nd. Loddo 3rd. Rigotto comes in 6th.

After a solid start to the season at the GP Costa delgi Etruschi, the Serramenti team looks to take the General Classification in Malaysia. Looking at Gilberto Simoni to take it all with help from Michel Scarponi and Jose Serpa, Simoni seems to be the early man to be the leader at the Giro. However with Di Luca and Pozzovivo also at the race, a lot of good climbing should be seen on the stage of the Genting Highlands. Meanwhile, we're also looking for victories with Elia Rigotto, but he'll have his hands full with Petacchi, Eeckhout and Barbosa here.
Le Tour de Langkawi - Stage 1
Flat stage, hope is for Rigotto.
Race starts with a group of 9 formed as the early breakaway. Francesco Ginanni is our man in the breakaway.
3 men would bridge the gap to form a group of 12 up front as they approach the one and only KOM of the day.
Ginanni takes it with no competition for it. He'll have to KOM jersey for a few days as there aren't any KOM's for the first few days.
As the peleton chases down the breakaway, Jackson Rodriguez has a mechanical. He'll have no chance of catching up. The fact that he fell off as soon as the peloton started chasing doesn't fare well. His works to get back into the peloton but gets tired losing more ground. He'd finish the stage outside the time limit.
...And more bad news for Serramenti. Rigotto has a mechanical as well. He works to get back to no avail. No sprinters present in the group for us. Bad luck today.
Break is caught.
With no sprinters present, Scarponi leads out Simoni on a max effort attack to try and grab a stage win and the jersey early. Simoni is a marked man as Pozzovivo, Horner, and Sorensen have him marked. They make really no ground with 3km to go. The stage will go to the sprinters.
Candido Barbosa grabs the victory and the yellow jersey.

I'll have Stage 2 up in a little bit, but I'm just wondering what the most efficient way to take screens are. At the moment I'm saving the replay, using print screen, and then cropping them. And I'm sure there is a more efficient way to do it because the way I'm doing it now takes a REALLY long time.
And I want to speed up my productivity. |

After yesterdays disappointment of being unable to contest in the sprint to try and gain the yellow jersey, Elia Rigotto said that he was going to win today. He guaranteed a victory, hopefully the first for the Serraneti team.
Le Tour de Langkawi - Stage 2
Hope is again for Rigotto.
Race starts with a break of 4. Not much action occurred today.
With the peloton chasing hard, apparently Hutchings was still fresh and he gave it a go solo. However it wouldn't do any good and he was gobbled up by the peloton.
With Alessandro Petacchi being probably the best sprinter in the race we set up behind his train. However when the An Post team had a train set up for Nico Eeckhout in better position we'd switch. Rigotto held Eeckhout's wheel.
...But Nico was too strong and he grabs the stage victory and the yellow jersey.
Rigotto's guarantee didn't go as planned but he still grabs the teams best result so far this season.

rather than using print screen you could use CTRL+T and the screenshots are saved in Adminstrator Documents/Pro Cycling Manager 2008/Screenshots.
It's faster as you don't have to copy the SS to paint everytime you press the button(s) like with print screen. The SS will be saved automaticaly in the folder that I mentioned.

Well. I have bad news...at least for 'this' story. My brother who has his own story on my computer, a Trek-Livestrong one decided to delete it. Little did he know, he deleted my Serramenti story.
Now that I've banned him from playing his own story, I'm going to be making a new story as soon as possible. I'm not sure yet on the team. |

another good way to do screenshots is to get a program like Grabber2k, then you can control the output file types etc. ctrl + T makes bitmap files which are a lot bigger then jpegs and so more annoying to upload.

Well after the game got deleted last night, I decided to delete all the stuff for it (silly me). And I already had gone onto start a new one with Fuji. So I guess I'm gonna go along with that.
At least I know now. |
