I've been playing PCM08 for about 4 weeks. I purchased and downloaded the game from cyanide's site; and I haven't performed any of the upgrades. Answers to the following questions would be appreciated:

1) Does anyone know if the latest patches would be included in the game if downloaded; or do I have to manually patch the game to have the latest patches?
2) If answer to question 1 is "manual patching required", what patches should I install? Just 1.0.2.3? Will that bring me up to the latest version, or do I have to go back and install several one at a time?
3) If I wanted to install the latest/greatest database (that is the most standard, nothing extremely custom) is that PCM's 2009 DB v2.0?
4) If I install a new database, can I continue my current career or do I have to start over if I want to use the new database?

Install the latest patch (its a simple measure of numbering), and I would recommend the PCM.daily 09 DB (v2). You will have to restart your career, but it is well worth it.

All the downloads are available in the downloads section on the site.
