Avila, O'Reilly, Petrovskiy, Lauge and Muntaner are visible at the front early on, after 3 of the 10 laps.
By lap 6, Dostal has hit the front, followed by De Neef and Petrovskiy
Heimans and Avila move up to alongside the leaders
Dostal seems happy to lead, and the others are happy to let him do so. Avila, Aeschbasch and Kruge are now following them. Elimination winner Kneisky is hidden behind the Yellow symbol
The pace really starts picking up with 2 laps to go, Dostal still leads and Avira and Aeschbasch are right up there. Will they have the strength to maintain their positions at the front?
It seems not, for when we are next able to pick up the riders is during the final corner and there is a new set of riders at the front battling for the win. O'Reilly, Christian, Bobridge and Muntaner have formed a sort of barrier at the front
Other riders go out ride around these 4 as all hope to grab a strong position, but one rider is pulling away from the rest: David Muntaner
The charge comes ever closer. Other than O'Reilly, Christian, Bobridge and Muntaner, both Heimans and Shchedov have managed to come out of the final corner and get into a strong position
The camera view swings to the on the line shot and Muntaner is victorious!! Jack Bobridge takes 2nd, riding infront of his home crowd.
Cody O'Reilly is awarded 3rd, for that is where he would have finished if the control rider had not gotten in the way, while Heimans is left to take 4th - possibly regretting his positioning for on the final turn he was still tucked in behind Muntaner and Bobridge
Shchedov rounds out the top 5 ahead of Christian, Petrovskiy and Kneisky, with all 15 competitors finishing not far behind each other
