Tomorrow they present in Milan, the route of the edition of year 2007 of Giro of Italy. There are many speculations to the respect of the race, but see you tomorrow to afternoon we will not know anything. That if, the Italians guarantee a good race and spectacle

PS: The presentation is to 16:45 and in direct by RAI 3

Basso will probably participate. I don't see the big competitors or rivals to win the Giro, if he's in as good form as this year. His old team CSC don't have a giro-rider now, I guess. I think i've heard that they won't go for the victory in the Giro even though Fränk schleck could tease Basso. But his goal is to win the Pro Tour. ?

Valve
I only think at Cunego can take the win from Basso

It'll probably be the same like this year. Basso too strong for everyone Cunego and Simoni lose 5 minutes in the TT. I'm curious what Savoldelli will be able to do if he has no health problems.
What about our nice Buffalo? Will he be allowed to ride races next year? I have heard nothing about him since end of May.
Position 6 - 10 could be something for young riders.

No Kronplatz! Dissapointing Sad

They will use another way to the Zoncolan and not the one they used in 2003. It has 5,9 km with and average on 14,9% B)

Valve
It looks very hard

I can't see anyone other than Basso winning the Giro.

Cunego is the only wild card - he had a poor Giro last year and a better than expected tour. He needs to concentrate fully on one race, but even if he does Basso should still beat him due to superior TT skills.

alex153
Well it depends, Cunego has probably developed a little bit from last year and he also has a better team this year, so I think he have a good chance

CrueTrue
And he does focus on the Giro this year, doesn't he? I actually think Cunego will have a true break-through this year. He proved that he can ride a really good TT in TDF, and he also proved that he's good enough in the mountains. Basso is of course better, but I think he'll dope himself a little bit less this year which could lead the way for Cunego.

Frink_RSA
will Basso be allowed to race? TDF have already said riders probed in spainish case will propably not be allowed to ride untill it has been cleaned up.
