Hello all,
With the new patch, I recently started a new career with Discovery Channel, and I am currently just ready to start the Tour de Romandie. I have one question that, through playing around with, I've never been able to find an answer. If I just instruct Levi Leipheimer for a "Normal Ride" will he still attack in the mountains if I simulate the stage? I've tried all three, and he is one of the best climbers, but he ends up finishing 14 minutes off the pace. Thanks. |

I would put him on take risks, don't know exactly why, just makes most sense to me, becaus eif you put breakaway he will try and go with the 1st break of the day and normal ride plainly didn't work

When you choose 'breakaway' the rider will try to be into the breakaway group. This won't work in stageraces if you are a favourite, because most other favourites don't want to let you go. If you do normal race, however, this could impose the risk that you finish later because you are a) not with a breakawaygroup or b) are too slow somewhere (thus costing you extra time). |

so to sum up, if you're riding in a mountain stage with a GC contender and are simulating select 'Take risks'

If the GC contender is a leader and the whole team is dedicated to protecting him will the whole team be trying to breakaway with him if he is set to breakaway and does this increase his chances of getting away?
I know this is getting off topic slightly but
Just on that, if there are a couple of sprinters in the team, it's a climbing stage and the Leader is a climber, is it disadvantageous to use these sprinters as team mates and vice versa? ie should sprinters only team mate with other sprinters and climbers only team up with other climbers and on time trials, should the hopeless time trialists be set outside of the team and as free? |

If you read the race report after simulating you will get a quite good idea of what the different orders do.
Take Risks, then the rider will try and breakaway during the closing part of the stage. If you got a good flat rider, he might be able to part the peleton during the end of the race and ride home if the stage is flat, and on a mountain finish set your GC to do take risks and he will try to set the peleton and breakaway on the last climb
Take Risks is for favourites and for puncheur if the stage is a bit hilly at the end.
Breakaway should only be used for those that isnt considered dangerous in the overall race win. |

When I have take Risks flagged, It seems that my leading rider tends to get injured far more. I'm wondering if take risks increases chance of injury. Anyone noticed any trends in regard to this? |
