Today’s stage is rated hilly, but with four climbs (including two cat. 1 ones) in the second half and a mountaintop finish it probably will be one for the GC fight nonetheless.

We have 13 riders in today’s break and finally there are some fresh faces among them. Apart from pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/eav.png Kirsch who is 14th in the GC and could climb to 3rd in the KoM classification no one is a threat in both classifications, so maybe they get some leeway. There hasn’t been interest in the intermediate sprint. It’s also the end of the flat start of the stage and the leaders will soon enter the first climb of the day (Valico di Valcava; cat.; 10.6 km at 8.4 %). They have three minutes to the peloton.
