Stage 4 Report

Stage 4 is another long flat one, 224k this time. Three sprints and a very small Cat 3 KOM.

The organizers have agreed to stop pouting and we have a favorites list. Podium Ambition won this stage last year, they got a win yesterday, maybe they can double up.

Only 6 in the break today but some familiar names with pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/taf.png Feldmann, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/esk.png Huby, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/ple.png Avila, and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/see.png Tuyizere all repeat customers from yesterday. The two new guys are pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/iec.png Postlberger, and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/tzk.png Bourgoyne. None of them have many KOM points so the Cat 3 probably not important. They have 3 sprint points before they get there.

The break ignores the first sprint point. With 150k to go for the peloton they trail by 6’53 down from almost 9 minutes. Controlling are Hunter Valley (Vandevelde), Fox God (Yamada) and Bolt – Eesti (Parashchak)

The break also ignore the 2nd and 3rd sprint point.

By the time the peloton reaches the third sprint point with 56k to go the lead is down to 3’38. Minions (Hamza), Bralirwa (Arvanitou), Zalgiris (Belohvosciks) and McCormick (Macias) also have riders up front along with Hunter Valley, Bolt-Eesti and Fox God.

The break just holds off the peloton to take the points at the Cat 3. Huby timing it right to win ahead of Feldmann and Avila. They are in the finish city of Katowice now.

The break holds out a little longer but their day is ended with 13k to go.

The heroic effort from Browning seems to have paid off as Thijssen has daylight with 400 meters to go. Hodeg closest to him then Ganjkhanlou, Sureda and Govekar.

200 meters, Thijssen looks to have the stage won, Hodge closest then Govekar. The riders on the right fading a little.
