You cant really influence that. They will progress over time. |

Ok. So it doesn't matter if I train a rider in flat or mountains. The res, sta and rec will progress equally? |

I think so, yes. It mostly depends on his specialisation. Classic riders will see their stamina increase more while stage racers will get better recuperation. |

There was a schema for PCM07 which showed what the different training methods (mountain, hill, etc.) improved stats-wise. It's here at PCM.daily somewhere. Don't know if it's the same with PCM08, though. |

Like I said in the Suggestions for PCM09, it would be nice if they would actually tell in the manual what trains which stat. Right now it all seems a bit vague.
But from what I have experienced is that your specialisation, say 'Mountain' will improve your mountain stat a little better than the other stats, but all stats will be improving based on your stars (progression rate).
So even though I know nothing about them, I'd guess that all stats with the same number of stars will progress at the same rate, whereas your specialisation will improve a little more as well. I can't tell you how much, or how fast though; it's just a guess. |

I'm dunno about this. I think some stats should be kind of 'natural ability' stats, that you cant actively change. Otherwise any cyclist can become a great if you just train him hard and long enough. One solution may be to include an 'altitude training' option in training camps. Training in say South Africa or Columbia could give a temporary boost to stamina, recovery and resistance. |
