I remember there used to be an award for winning a race. Not a stage, but a race, like having the yellow jersey in Paris when riding the Tour de France. It's been a while since I've seen the awards for those, since they don't display them in-game anymore.
I do recall that someone once said somewhere that it is still possible to see how much money you get when you win such a race, but to be honest, I don't have a clue where to find that - or the original message. A search on the forums didn't get me anywhere either, so I'd better ask
Does anyone here know where I can look that up and whether those values are more or less reflecting real life situations? |

go to this folder:
C:\Program Files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2008\Classifications
click on the sort of race you want to know, and search this line:
<sprint_bonus source_in="RACE_FINAL" type_in="TIME" source_out="RACE_FINAL" type_out="MONEY">
underneath, you'll find how much money you get for what rank in the final GC. |

Ah, thanks for pointing out
Although I have to admit that it would still be much more useful to have them displayed in-game again. |

That's correct for a 1-day race, my friend. I was talking about reward money for winning the jersey across several days, like a Tour de France as you should be getting prize money for winning the Tour - not only for winning a stage in the Tour. |
