So lets say I want to put in the new stages of the 2009 Tour of California to replace the old 08 ATOC (so that I only race the 09 version and not the 08 one in career mode), how would I go about doing that in the Advanced Editor?
Do you have to use Advanced Editor? If not, this is the way in CLEditor:
Download the stages and put them in:
C:\Program Files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2008\CM_Stages
Go into CLEditor and go on Race, list, choose Amgen Tour of California, click Stages and put the .xml file name in XML Stage, put the name of the stage(eg Solvang-Solvang) in Name, choose what kind of race it is(eg. TT) like this:
In linea: Road stages
Cronometro:ITT
Cronosquadro:TTT
in type, in Profile put if it's flat, mountain or hills like this:
Pianura: Flat
Hill: Collina
Mountain: Montagna
, in cobbles put if there are cobbles there(Si=yes, No=no), Length(KM) is how long is it.
I'm not sure what to say for Gap.
yeah I got the advanced editor but this is a bit easier. There is one problem, I cant figure out how to add an extra stage to ATOC cuz the 08 ATOC has 8 stages and the 09 has 9 so I got one left over that isnt added. is there anyway to add the extra stage?
It's better to do it with the Advanced Editor since there's a few columns that CLE-ditor doesn't do anything about despite the fact that they are quite important.
So, if you use the Advanced Editor, have a look at these tables:
STA_race and STA_stage
Give it a go - it's rather self-explanatory once you have a look, but if you run into any problems, I'd be glad to help you.
