Hi guys, this is my first attempt to make a PCM story, so please be benevolent ;) and sorry for my simple and poor english, my native language is czech, I´m writing with dictionary :)
So, let's begin.
I decided to play for Venezuelan Continental team Gobernación del Zulia, simply for two reasons. First I like their leader José Rujano, Think he's still young rider with huge potential. Second, I didn't want to play with team with 20+ riders as I´m too lazy to create so much training schedules :) I will use PCM.daily's 2009 DB V2, difficulty hard.
Here is my team:
Here are goals for this season:
I´m not sure, but expect, most difficult goal will be to gain WC for Vuelta a Espana
Actually, I have just 2 riders who can bring some victories for my team
AND
I´m hoping for three things:
1) I´ll have enough time and patience to continue this story
2) I´ll improve in my english a little
3) for last but not least, all of you (or most) will like it

Here is schedule for January. Because on few riders on my team I had to cancel registration in two races, La Tropicale Amissa Bongo and Tour of Wellington. My first race will be the most important in whole season, Vuelta al Tachira. Then we will remove to Argentina and ride in Tour de San Luis.

Good or bad news?
We have just signed new sponsor, it´s a good one.
The bad one is, no more sponsors will support our team in this season, so we had to release our mythical scout from Poland and let only one national trainer and regional doctor.
Our first race is about start, welcome on Vuelta al Tachira!!!

As said before, it is definitely the most importanrt race for our team in this season. Jose Rujano or Manuel Medina (with great help of other members) MUST achieve podium place in GC and try to win some stage(s). Satisfied sponsor is a good sponsor
Another good and bad news: Rujano is in quite good shape, unfortunately Medina is not. So our main leader for this race is Jose Rujano. Basically he´ll be our main leader for whole races, beacause I have the same training programme for whole team

First two stages are flat, our main goal is to stay in pack and avoid any troubles.
I have no pictures (as I decided to make a story AFTER playing of first three stages) so here are just results:

Stage 3
Maybe we should try to show our power in this stage? We´ll see....
1st breakaway of this day
Winner of the 1st stage abandoned!!
Pack is all together, last hill before finish, it´s time to try our luck, Jose Rujano attacks! But it is probably toooooo late...
...but Rujano is first when the sprint is opened
Damn, Lima is much better sprinter...
...but Rujano is not yielding!! Just two left-handed curves before finish...
...and Jose Rujano is today´s winner!!! What an amazing effort!!!
Zaballa made the bed himself on finish line
Results are here:
Our first season´s victory means that we achieved first sponsor´s goal!!
After that fabulous success I had to check if I already played on HARD - I did I think there were two reasons, why Rujano kept his position. Sprint was downhill and due to left-handed curves Lima had to ride longer distance
will be continue later....

Who is stupid enough to put the finish line right after a turn?
...
Never mind, I already know: the Australian Championships. |

Stage 4
First hilly stage, our main goal for today is to see, how much powerful are our main opponents and attack in final hill, if possible.
This morning breakaway
At the bottom of first real hill they are almost 4 minutes ahead of main pack.
We are waiting for some action, but noone is attacking...that´s strange, but we are suspicious. Leading group still in front on the summit, with 1:05 advantage.
15km to go and Wilkinson from Team Halford attacks the leading group!!
Still no attacks from main pack! Mestre from Palmeiras is now setting high pace and only Wilkinson stays ahead...
...and not even Wilkinson, hero of this stage
There are still no activity from main contestants, so Rujano attacks and Medina counters!
And this is second victory in a row, Rujano gains few seconds on main pack, Medina finishes on nice and respectable third place!
Here are stage and GC results, Rujano will wear yellow jersey tomorrow!
Second victory in four days, what a start! However our position in next stages will not be so easy, we´ll have to defend yellow jersey.

Stage 5
This is quite short and mostly flat stage, we´ll try to be active in front of the pack and don´t let go away some dangerous riders. However many riders are very active today, it seems to be hard to defend yellow jersey. After many attacks and counterattacks, there is group of 15 riders ahead of main pack. The most dangerous rider is Bobridge, which is just 52 seconds behind Rujano in GC.
The biggest gap is about 2 minutes, then guys from Sean Kelly Team sets very high pace and few filometers before finish line are all together. This stage will decide in mass sprint.
As finish is slightly hilly, Jose Rujano feels his chance for hattrick and moves forward...
...but no chance, R.Downing is the fastest, "sleeper" Zaballa finishes second and David Blanco third

I like the story, like the fact you've got better english than many Americans and British here at Daily, and am enjoying seeing someone take a continental team, and not have any aims to get promoted to the pro tour. Great stuff so far, look forward to reading more.
