There was time to be won and time to be lost today as the riders tackle nearly forty kilometres on the TT-bike. The presence of the Côte de Magès (1.6km @ 4.7%) and Côte de l'Hospitalet (1.8km @ 6.2%) means that this one might not have been one for the pure rouleurs, provided there was a puncheur who could figure out their aerodynamics. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be; with our podium instead being formed by Logan CURRIE, Tristan JUSSAUME and Elia BLUM.
Leo HAYTER was the strongest of our GC contenders; he extended his lead over Carlos RODRIGUEZ to just under a ½-minute. That was more due to his strength rather than any weakness on the part of his competitors, although Panagiotis KARATSIVIS and (especially) Lennert VAN EETVELT did lose some time. The latter can consider his hopes of overall victory completely extinguished, having even dropped behind a strong-performing Michel HESSMANN. There is all still to play for on the monstrous final stage though.
