It’s the last day of the race and there are still four riders within roughly 2 minutes of the GC victory with pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2024/Micros/nfz.png Elosegui, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2024/Micros/elc.png Giannoutsos, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2024/Micros/mck.png Sosa and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2024/Micros/spr.png Misbah. There are also up to 80 KoM points on offer, but there’s only pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2024/Micros/hrt.png Majoral who could still take the jersey from pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2024/Micros/esk.png Lafay, but he’ll need a great day and a legendary ride to achieve this.

The six leaders are now in the biggest climb of the day (Yakima Peak; HC; 17.8 km at 5.1 %). The peloton is now at 10 minutes.

Let’s hope the riders know this is not the cours d’honneur on the Champs Elysées (though it would be hard to miss this) as there are still 32 riders together when the last shallower part of the climb is done. If anyone wants to still attack it should be soon.
