Lopez once again the favourite as we finish here in the Balkans.
4 riders get away early and take the first KOM of the day there's only 43 points available today and with
Cepeda Hernandez
Wirtgen
Phodingam
taking the points here there's only two riders who can beat McKenna and that now looks very unlikely.
Bellan is back on the front today for Lopez and they keep the gap to 3"15 early.
And we have a group of 6 riders
Cepeda Hernandez
Wirtgen
Phodingam
Budenieks 22nd 2"20 GC
Januskevicius
Tolhoek
behind Stannard is sat in the gap between the peloton and break and ends up having a huge effort wasted as he is unable to get across to the group another disappointment for the Australian this week
Budenieks and Wirtgen take the next two Cat 4 climbs between them and over the Cat 1 climb of the day it looked like being a similar story until Cepeda Hernandez blasted through the middle to take the points and with it confirm McKenna as the KOM congrats
The gap is only 1"05 and Budenieks is currently too close to the GC lead at nearly 2 mins for and to give this any leeway
Final cat 3 of the day goes to Wirtgen as the peloton closes and ends the break a full 60km to go. The full standings in the KOM with only 6pt available at the finish to go as we confirm the winners.
Simmons sets a blistering pace for the next 30km on the undulating roads to the final two climbs of the tour and really starts to put the hurt on the peloton behind.
And here we go 25km to go two climbs remaining and De Bie with the whole team from Lidl are on the front last in line is Faglum Karlsson who is now their defacto leader and they set the pace up to blistering.
Gidich and Gesbert attack on either side of the road they eventually join together as the favourites start to make some moves we have 20km to go.
Areruya shuts this down on his own while a charging Burke continues to put the pace down on the left hand side of the road.
Burke takes us over the top of the climbs, we have 55 riders making the front and one final 5km climb to end the tour.
Here we go onto the final climb and position will be crucial! Areruya has decided to move to the very back of the group on the descent though after being at the front on the top of the last climb.
Meintjes is the first to break he takes Champoussin with him
Faglum Karlsson, Yates and Hirschi are the group behind. Lopez is just stalking currently and Areruya isn't even in sight.
the front 5 come together 2km to go, Lopez is bringing Phinney, Morton, Gidich, Gesbert and Formolo across the gap.
Dropped are Areruya (who is in no mans land a few groups back), Kwiatkowski, Sagan and Schlegel.
Lopez bridges to the leading 5 we have a 11 man group but some of these riders aren't looking great and 2nd on GC Gesbert looks to be hanging on grimly.
Whos this! Areruya! he's made his way past the 2nd group on the road and is charging he looks to have something left but the leaders are coming to 1km to go
Champoussin and Gesbert crack majorly under 1km to go, Yates and Meintjes start the sprint.
It's still Yates with Meintjes on his shoulder Hirschi is on the right.
Meintjes cracks 300m to go but Yates is still holding strong Lopez doesn't have it today.
Yates!!! its a huge win for McCormick in the relegation battle as the Englishman comes up big when they needed him most a huge result.
Phinney is 2nd then Morton with Hirschi 4th and Lopez 5th in the lead group and confirming his GC win!
Faglum Karlsson was next repaying his teams efforts with a strong finish, Formolo and Meintjes are the next two to cross the line. A Charging Areruya gets Gidich on the line for 9th but his positioning left a lot to be answered there. He will still salvage a top 5 on GC from a potential disaster at the bottom of the climb.
Big gap to Gesbert who loses many positions in the GC but survived for as long as possible considering his limitations on longer climbs
Madouas and Champoussin are the next two in the latter cracked hugely in the final 1km.
Schlegel, Kwiatkowski and Sagan are part of the next group but all lose over 2"00 on the final climb.
Yates takes the stage what a final climb from him
The dominant Lopez is your GC winner
McKenna well deserved KOM
Lopez green jersey as well
Romo wins the white jersey
will take the team standings.
And that is the end of our 6 days in the Balkans congrats to the winners of a fantastic weeks racing!
