There are only minor KoM points on offer today and no one in the break is among the leaders in this classification, but the break fights for the points nonetheless. Their gap is just under three minutes now after peaking at about four minutes.

At the last KoM sprint the first riders are dropped (at least for the moment) from the break. Iâ€™m not sure itâ€™s a good idea to attack each other with 77 km to go and drop those riders who could play a key role in keeping the peloton away in the finale.
