Silence-Lotto 2009
0buKKaKe
Hello everybody, im kinda bored these days, so ive decided to try and do my first career story ever. Im useing Pack 2009 with patch (hope that db will work corretly after patch), its only db09 for pcm2 and i loove the way the stats are done. The difficulty level is set on HARD.

Team choice was easy this time, i love cobble classics and Silence-Lotto is so strong this year, shame that Popo isnt there because of his "escapade", he would be fine superdomestique for Evans. I dont like Evans much, but maybe playing with him will change my mind a bit Smile, but the team has a lot of young future stars who are my personal favourites. So what am i gonna do now, i will interduce the whole team and for what i will use those riders, than will present team objectives and than we will see. maybe ill start the first races today, but for sure tomorrow. Hope youll enjoy this little tryout, thats why im doing it, because this game has so much joy in it Smile

Ok here we go, let me interduce, some of the leaders and other important riders of the Silence-Lotto:

Leaders

www.cqranking.com/men/images/Riders/2009/CQM2009000120.jpg
Leif Hoste will be one of the top leaders of the team. My idea is to built strong support around this 31yrs old cobble specialist, so he can ride on top of the UCI rankings. Its planed that he will be in top shape whole spring and than ill let him rest for the next season. Leif is going to ride many spring races, mostly cobbled and one-days, here are some of them:
Kuurne - Brussel - Kuurne
Omloop Het Volk
Kuurne - Brussel - Kuurne
Ronde van Vlaanderen
Gent - Wevelgem
Paris - Roubaix
Also Belgium championship TT and RR are his main targets, but we will se if hell be strong enought at that time.

www.cqranking.com/men/images/Riders/2009/CQM2009000045.jpg
Philippe Gilbert is the young future superstar, he has burst of talent and in 26yrs he belongs to top classics specialist. He will be riding mostly same races as Leif Hoste, purpose is that he learn how to became a winner and top class cyclist, so one day he can stand at Leifs place of a team leader.
So he will be Leifs superdomestique for important classics and sure ill give him leader status for some "not that important" races.

www.cqranking.com/men/images/Riders/2008/CQM2008000161.jpg
Cadel Evans without any doubts absolute leader for stage races. Cadel is strong and experienced rider, he knows how to beat main rivals on the climbs and hes flying at TTs. His neverending stamina, resistance and will are his main weapons and under my direction hell became also master tacteek, only thing hes missing to finally win the Tour de France which is his main goal of the season. I except him to race Tour de Suisse or Dauphine, also some other stage races, we will see through season.

Domestiques and protected riders

www.cqranking.com/men/images/Riders/2008/CQM2008000157.jpg
David Kopp is a newcomer to the Silence-Lotto team and he WILL be very useful rider. Hes strong at sprints and also enjoying riding cobbles, due to this fact he will be one of the Leifs and Philippes domestiques. No problem for me to give him a free role if there isnt any "greater good", ill leave him so he can win some stages. Its planed that he will also start early season and will be in top shape for spring races in service of Mr. Hoste.

www.cqranking.com/men/images/Riders/2009/CQM2009000517.jpg
Staf Scheirlinckx also newcomer, experienced rider, hired to be in service for Hoste and Gilbert. Same rules for him as for Kopp.

www.cqranking.com/men/images/Riders/2009/CQM2009000204.jpg
Sebastian Lang another new rider to the team. German TT specialist, also has a lot of experiences, so hell be a good teacher for young talents of Silence-Lotto team. Not decided yet if hell be riding some spring races or will be in sevice for Evans on Tour and mid season.

www.cqranking.com/men/images/Riders/2009/CQM2009000389.jpg
Johan Vansummeren is for sure coming to be a fine classic rider and one day maybe a leader. Amazing and strong on cobbles and hes not afraid of hills, that is making him very strong weapon in my hands and i will use him for sure to win some stages, to support Hoste and Gilbert. His peak will be also spring time.

Young talents and future stars

www.cqranking.com/men/images/Riders/2009/CQM2009003333.jpg
Greg Van Avermaet is a huge talent, at 23s he can sprint, he can cobble, strong on flat also on hills. In his age he still can grown and became similar type of rider as his idol Tom Boonen. Hes under care of best trainers and has full of support also by me. Yet hes still very young, so he too will be just sitting next to Hoste and learing his job as far as hell be capable.

www.cqranking.com/men/images/Riders/2009/CQM2009000135.jpg
Thomas Dekker is also rising star at age 24. Fine stagerace rider and hill classic specialist. This year will be big for Thomas, he has almost half of year to train hard, to learn from more experienced Cadel Evans, because i want him to be team leader for GC on Vuelta. I know its tough job, for older and tougher guys than Thomas is, but i have fate in him, expecting top 10.

www.cqranking.com/men/images/Riders/2009/CQM2009001544.jpg
Jurgen Roelandts, 22yrs old Belgium champion, will start early this season, am not putting any expectations on his shoulders, so if hell be confident with himself maybe hell do some good results in sprints or breakaways.

www.cqranking.com/men/images/Riders/2008/CQM2008001990.jpg
Matthew Lloyd is almost complete rider, but still few things he has to work on at his 25s. Hes tough rider to beat on hills and we want to improve his hilly skills. I want him in top shape right on the start of the season, because of Australian Champs and than hope he can lead the team at some early season stage races.

www.cqranking.com/men/images/Riders/2009/CQM2009000599.jpg
Jurgen Van den Broeck is togeather with Van Avermaet huge Silence-Lotto talents, i expect him to replace Cadel Evans someday and become leader of the team for grand tours. He enjoys when the road is riseing high up the mountains, also a decent timetrialist, good stamina, and burst of talent which still can make a huge skill improvements. I decided to let him ride spring hilly classics like L-B-L, Fleche Walone, Amstel Gold. Than im going to send him for Giro, dont have any GC ambition, hell be learning and collecting experiences there, i hope for stage wins, maybe will later decide to go for KoM.

Extra news

Now team Silence-Lotto made a huge medial sensation by hiring a new rider, and that is noone less than Alexander Vinokurov. Hired at last possible moment before season starts as an answer to Armstrong and Bassos comeback. Vino gets warm welcome with arms open wide, its honour for most riders of the team to ride next to such legend as Vino is for sure. Lets take a closer look on Alexander.

www.cqranking.com/men/images/Riders/2007/CQM2007000048.jpg
Alexander Viokurov former star of Team Telekom (T-Mobile later), winner of Vuelta a Espana still has a huge potential even hes 35yrs old. Exceptional climber and timetrialist. Aim to perform top 5 at Giro di Italia, maybe Tour de Romandie before and Tour de Suisse or Dauphine after.

Well first race, first win Grin There was Matti Lloyd and Cadel Evans for Silence-Lotto team competeing for australian jersey. Matti is in fine shape at the start of the season, so it was a new role for Cadel to help Matti to win the champs.

Menzies trying to attack !

img7.imageshack.us/img7/633/pcm0006ni8.jpg
Alan Davis and Simon Gerrans cant match last three heroes, Menzies is at his best.

img7.imageshack.us/img7/634/pcm0007kl3.jpg
Leading group catch riders round behind and now Matti is sprinting uphill, Gerrans cant find answer for such hard attack.

img5.imageshack.us/img5/1778/pcm0008tr1.jpg
Evans drop form Menzies and was taking it easy while Davis catches him, now they are fighting for the third place.

Alan is trying hard, but it is not enough, easy third for Cadel.
