In general, it's recommended to reinstall the game before installing especially the large packages. With the PCM.daily 09 DB V2, some testers experienced crashes, but after a full reinstall of the game, it worked - therefore, it's very recommended to reinstall the game if you want to use the 09 DB.
Q. How do I uninstall the game completely?
A. First, go to Start -> Programs -> Cyanide -> Pro Cycling Manager 2008 and find the uninstall-link. Next, go to "My Computer", your hard drive, "Program Files" -> Cyanide and delete the Pro Cycling Manager-folder. Then go to My Documents and delete the Pro Cycling Manager folder. Last thing is Start -> Run and type in %AppData% . A folder will open. Find the Pro Cycling Manager folder and delete it. The game is now completely uninstalled. |

Computer, select your hard drive where PCM is installed (usually C, find Program Files, find Cyanide and delete the Pro Cycling Manager folder. |

Are you absolutely sure that everything is deleted? Also the folder in Application Data and the one in My Documents?
If yes, let's go. Install Pro Cycling Manager, and install the latest patch. When that's done, go back to the DB.
There's two files in the .zip file that you've downloaded. One of them is called Program Files.zip, the other one is called My Documents.zip. Open Program Files.zip and move / extract all the files to Computer -> C: -> Program Files -> Cyanide -> Pro Cycling Manager.
Next, open My Documents.zip. Locate My Documents -> Pro Cycling Manager and move / extract all the files to that place.
Go to PCM -> Options -> Database and choose the PCM.daily DB. |

Just posted this on a different thread Ringo, but hopefully it will help you too. There should be no pink boxes.
I suggest opening up the Program Files Folder in the download.
Then go to C/ProgramFiles/Cyanide/ProCyclingManager.
Drag all the files across into the ProCyclingManager folder, like this.
Your problems will then go away. |

once i've done that i will have nothing on my computer PCM related. what should be the first thing i do?
sorry for being a pain, i'm really rubbish at computers!!! |

I'm uploading the .exe-file now. Wait for that. It's easier for people with no computer knowledge. |

Has been a while, so to be sure!!!
Have done all the unistall/delete steps, reinstalled, and was getting ready to add pacthe to fresh install.
Question: All Cyanide patches are cumulative, right? I use patch 1.0.2.3, I don't have to worry about the previous ones?
thanks

That's right, kebowers.
You only need the latest patch. |

Well, this is kind of related with installing the new db, so...
I'm installing PCM08 in my new laptop, and I'm wasting the last of the three possible activations. What I'd like to know, quickly, please, is: what is the mail to send the request for new activations? I had the mail somewhere but I forgot it, and I can't find it anywhere...

I Uninstaled and Re-instaled PCM08, downloaded the self-installer version, followed all the steps and it said it was completed.
Now there isn't the V2 DB in my list of DBs and i don't know where the file is or how to get it into the game.
what do i do??? |
